OKLAHOMA CITY (October 18, 2007) - For the 6th year in a row, KXY 96.1 Clear Channel Radio will host the KXY Loves Kids Radiothon to benefit Children's Miracle Network.

Auction items this year will include Resistol Cowboy Hats autographed by country music singer Ty England and world champion bull rider Tuff Hedeman, two basketballs signed by Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets and University of Oklahoma memorabilia signed by Coach Bob Stoops.

Children's Miracle Network has a group of young children dedicated to speaking and raising awareness about the importance of research, education and fundraising efforts in the State of Oklahoma. They are called "miracle children" because they represent the true inspiration behind our endeavors to create the best care for children in Oklahoma. Miracle Children Grayson, Alli, Sarah, Jayse, Jesse and Anna Marie will each discuss their unique and miraculous stories during on air interviews.

Doctors with the endowed chair programs funded by Children's Medical Research Institute will also speak on air. Dr. William Meyer, CMRI Ben Johnson Chair in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Dr. Terrence Stull, CMRI Patricia Price Browne Distinguished Chair in Pediatrics are CMRI doctors committed to creating one of the best children's hospitals nationwide with the help of funds raised through Children's Miracle Network and in conjunction with Children's Hospital administrator, Chuck Spicer.

The radiothon will be held at Children's Hospital at the OU Medical Center at 1200 Everett Drive on the first floor in front of the cafeteria. For more information please call 405.271.8430. Hi! The radiothon is on the way, with every dollar children's medical research right here in Oklahoma. We hope you'll give, give, give: break your piggy bank, sell your pop cans, take up a collection at work, skip bingo that week, brown-bag your lunch & donate your lunch money - it's all good, and it's all for the kids!! ~Tracy
